Belagavi: Psychopath medical doctor who torched 20 luxury cars held

Daijiworld Media Network - Belagavi (SP)

Belagavi, Jan 19: A doctor with distorted thinking process, who used to target luxury cars parked in front of houses of rich people, stands arrested. He used to torch the cars by using camphor.

The police, who were faced with the task of getting to the person who used to randomly set cars on fire since the last some days, found that the culprit was Dr Amit Vijaykumar, who holds MBBS, MD degrees. He happens to be a native of Pragati Nagara in Kalaburagi and is currently working as Belagavi Institute of Medical Sciences. As of now, he is posted as officer in charge of blood bank there.

During the last four days, 20 luxury cars had been set on fire by the doctor.

Giving details about the case at a press conference held at APMC police station here on Thursday, deputy commissioner of police, Seema Latkar, said that Dr Amit (37), serving as pathologist, has been living at Sadashiva Nagar in the city since the last ten years. The incidents of torching the cars occurred because of the fact that he has lost his mental balance," she informed.

At 9.20 pm on Wednesday, Dr Amit had entered J3 Apartment complex at Vishweshwara Nagar in the city. He was trying to torch a car found parked there when security guard of the building, Gangana Gouda, stopped and questioned him. Although no one was residing in the apartment complex then, Dr Amit claimed he had been invited there by a resident named Nayak. The watchman, who grew suspicious of his intentions of the strange visitor after seeing that he was holding a box of camphor pieces and other things, called the police control room. The police personnel of APMC station who went there to investigate, questioned Dr Amit, and found out what had happened, she explained.

I am sure noone would come to this persons act of torching cars.A educated ,practicing doctor .Most probably he couldnt afford these luxurious cars and got out of mind ,and started to hate and to torch all who own them, when psychopath would torch cars whatever the brand is.There are some autonoms too do such werk.but here is quite different.Treat him in a psychiatric dept. His licence should be cancelled, and his certicate too withdrawn.Sorry for his family.

Is word 'psychopath' is the deliberate attempt to deflect from the truth by the law enforcement department to serve his link with some political party?

    1. If he is psychopath, how does he continue his service as a Doctor without any error?
2.How does law enforcement department come to conclusion to declare him as 'Psychopath' without having medical history and without subjecting him to medical investigation?

The law enforcement version seems to be more contradicting. Now the state is going for assembly election on behest of regional political leaders pressure cops must have forced to declare him 'psychopath'.
Last week some digital media reported similar incident in Ganguli, in Udupi District .This may deliberate attempt to instigate communal violence.
Is cops want to close the book to save the masters?

Really sad, that a highly qualified/respected Medical MD has turned into a 'MAD' and dangerous member of society.

IMA should not hesitate to strip him of his medical degrees, in order to safeguard their reputation and send the right message to any other wrong-doers in the medical profession.

We saw a doctor in kalladka using dirty filthy hate speech about a community and we have a oncologist doctor in gujrat lying somewere street saying some encounter conspiracy with carrying Z plus security and finally a post graduate doctor jealousely going behind luxury cars. Studying a science can make them doctor but skipping from perfect four stages of socialisation can make these doctors such a danger to the society

    @ kishor..,

You got trapped by equating the unequal.., unless your response is a big FEKU..., though your response/views is wrong and unwarranted...,

Nevertheless.., birds of the same feather not only flock together but also knows each other...,

    Girisha,
By the way u seems to be the follower of saint Zakir Naik. Your name 'girish' is also too anti-secular. Better to change to a secular name.

    @ Nazeer saab,

Yes, ... agreed Dr Naikji is a great intellectual & scholar, but he should limit/stop defining spiritual substance of other religion..., The only problem in Dr saab is ..., he indulge in explaining other faith by his own way.., by quoting phrase & sentences of other religious teachings/writings ....., The truth in any religion must reflect in its practice more than preaching..., a person who don't practice what he preach is like a blind man trying to show the path..., such talks may suit some..., but definitely not going to serve the human mankind...,
All said & done.., I admire the intellectual ability of Dr Naikji..., but i have great reservations on his opinion about other faiths..,

By the way Hinduism is a way of life.., it shows the path or moksha ..., it is a sanathan dharma..., But sadly now a days in Hindustan the values of Hinduism is degenerated in the hands of politicians..., THE TIME IS NOW COME TO FIGHT AGAINST FEKU HINDUISM... to protect the REAL HINDUISM...,

This is a case of FENCE EATING THE GRASS. Indeed a doctor is and should be a savior lives and indirect;y properties too.

The security person who reported the matter to the police deserves an award. Hope the Government will suitably investigate into the case and take corrective action.
