Mysuru, Jan 8: Former chief minister H D Kumaraswamy has alleged that a BJP corporator is involved in the murder of Deepak Rao.

He made the allegation on Monday, January 8 while speaking to reporters.

“I have received information that some BJP leaders are responsible for the murder of Deepak Rao. But I have not spoken about it so far. I am speaking now only because I am asked. When Deepak Rao was murdered, some Muslim community members assaulted the miscreants and tried to rescue Deepak Rao. Based on this the police arrested four suspects belonging to Muslim community. The government has not been able to identify who gave supari to these suspects.” Kumaraswamy added.

“Why is that the mastermind of the murder of Deepak Rao not identified yet? Why is the government hesitating to make the information public even after several days of the crime? Four suspects have been arrested but the truth is not made known,” said HDK expressing anguish.

“As per information obtained by me, a local BJP corporator is involved in the murder of Deepak Rao. I have gathered some information with regard to the crime. There is suspicion that there is an understanding between Congress and BJP in this regard. Why is the government quiet, even after the arrested suspects have spoken truth?” he questioned.
