Bengaluru, Jan 1: The state unit of BJP is preparing a charge sheet, listing out failures on the part of the state government and also the promises and assurances it has not kept. This charge sheet is expected to be released by January 16. This decision was taken at a meeting chaired by national president of BJP, Amit Shah, to take stock of poll preparations for the coming assembly election, on Sunday December 31. The meeting was held in a private resort near the city.

The youth wing of the party has been given the task of convincing people of the state about the follies, failures and forgotten promises of the Congress government listed out in the charge sheet through house-to-house visits between February 15 and 22. 

Speaking to media persons, union minister, Ananth Kumar, stated that SC/ST and OBC conventions as well as constituency-wise morchas of women will be organized by the party in all the assembly constituencies in the state. Kumar stated that the party has set up abut 55,000 booth committees at micro level for helping the party to gain popularity. He added that a person would be given responsibility of building close contact with a group of voters, between 30 and 50. He said that one activist would be given charge of one page of the voters list, which usually contains 25 to 30 names of voters. The work of these people would be to become familiar with these voters so that the voters will realize the importance of choosing BJP, he clarified.

Kumar added that the leaders of the party are happy about tremendous response the Nirvanaa Karnataka Nirmala Parivartana Yatra led by Yeddyurppa is receiving all over the state. He felt that Yatras undertaken by Siddaramaiah and Kumaraswamy do not have any effect on the populace

The said meeting was attended by party leaders from the state, office bearers, functionaries, state election-in-charge, Prakash Javadekar, his assistant, Piyush Goyal etc.

Former chief ministers of Karnataka, B S Yeddyurappa and Jagadish Shettar, former deputy chief minister, K S Eshwarappa, and others were present.
