Bengaluru: Will enter politics if there is a challenge - Prakash Rai

Bengaluru Dec 31 (DHNS): The 'Man of the Year 2017' award was presented by the Bangalore Press Club to Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and multilingual actor Prakash Rai here on Sunday, December 31.

Nirmalanandanatha Swami, head of Adichunchanagiri Math, presented the award at a function on the club premises.

After receiving the award, Siddaramaiah said, "Media can analyse my government and criticise it. It will be welcomed,"

"I have no interest to enter politics, but if there is a challenge by a political force, I will take it up," Prakash Rai said.

''If the challenge is posed to me further, I am ready to enter politics," Rai announced.

    Prakash Rai generally shares communist ideology.

    If he stands for election from Communist party he will loose deposit.
    I he goes with congress there are chances depending on the seat.
    Of course there is no question of he going with BJP as he is against them.

    Some of these artists and writers should keep in mind that politics is a different art all together. Dr Shivaram Karanth like famous personalities has lost election in North Kanara in the hands of a local political leader. I do not remember if he lost deposit.

    he is just a waste of time, was talking high about socialism and communism and now in hand with congress, he is just one of those old fart need high contact to preserve the money without tax axing ..and enjoy power and red lamp drive.     what is insult to constitution? do you know how many times constitution was amended? will you call them also insult? what about shabana case where the supreme court order was rejected by parliament. if any person want to blame bjp no issue. but don't use constitution/freedom of speech/rights etc for blame game. bcoz all the political parties done the same thing.
