Kundapur, Dec 30: A silent protest rally was held here on Saturday December 30, relating to the incident of manhandling of a man by cattle protectors during illegal trafficking of cows in Thombattu.

The rally from Kandlur mosque to grama panchayat office displayed slogans in placards against fake cattle protectors.

The protesters who spoke after submitting a petition to Kundapur DySP Pravin Kumar alleged that Amasebail station police have turned the complaint submitted by Samiyulla, registered petty cases and made sure that suspects get bail soon.

“Amasebail police have adopted discriminatory policy. Though Samiyulla had named 30 to 40 suspects, cases were registered only against four persons. The one-sided approach and lapses by the police can be seen here. The case should be handed over to a sincere police officer and suitable investigations should be conducted,” they urged.

DySP Pravin Kumar, who accepted the petition, assured that the case will be handed over to the circle inspector for impartial inquiry.

“Police registered a case of illegal cattle business against Samiyulla without providing any medical treatment in Amasebail police station from 6 am to 6 pm. The judge, who saw the injuries on Samiyulla when he was presented in the court, slammed the station inspector for not treating his injuries. The judge asked to register a case against cattle protectors and approved bail to Samiyulla. He obtained treatment in a private hospital in Kundapur and then in KMC Manipal,” said the protestors.

Circle inspector Manjappa, Kundapur rural station PSI Sridhar Naik and staff ensured security.

A group of DR police was deployed for additional security.

Munaf Khalif, grama panchayat member Dastagir Saheb, Liaqat, Suhail and others were present.

    Rahul,
You may be having some issues in understanding news. For your kind information he is not cow kalla. It is illegal cow trafficking.
In our areas majority cows are with poor Hindu farmers. We all aware common practice these poor people will sell these cows to slaughter house once they stop giving milk. These people also have high respect to the cow however due to their financial status it is important to them to earn some money to buy another cow to support their children education etc.
My question to you is why can't these Go Rakhaks can buy these old cows from poor farmers for a good amount and take care them in their house rather than asking them to donate to a Go Shala? Don’t you think this can resolve this issue permanently?
    My next question to you
Currently in India majority cows are not local breeds. Their origin is from Denmark, New Zealand etc.
Are these so called GO RAKSHAKS accepting them as their Go matha? When these people are against pub culture, New Year parties. Why they want to adopt foreign culture in this instance?
    Last question to you
How many of these time wasters have cows in their house? If they haven how many cows is non milking?
Don’t you think we all encourage these goons to destroy law n order in our country?

Wait, whaaaat? I need to clear my glasses and read this again...🧐
The illegal cattle thieves are unhappy and protesting for being arrested???😂
I think the time is ripe to form a “Illegal Cattle Mover’s Sahakari Sangha, Nondaayita” so that they can organize better and work for the betterment of the “industry” and its members. The theives should also be given insurance due to the high risks involved. 😳

Why don't lawyers or policemen come up with some solution, yaar?since this is a everyday story.
Make a strict resolution on paper in 2018, to deal with these ppl, that there should be a proper paper docs to show when cattle is transported around, whether actual owner has agreed to sell it to next party or it's a theft, if it's stolen... make sure they don't come up again with same things again and again,a strong law enforcement should be made for cattle theft and also more importantly for rape cases, that's in news every other day.
Else these things would never stop and ppl like these will play politics for every issue.
