Mangaluru: SDC Warriors crush Jugari Warriors to emerge champion in KPL Season 3

Mangaluru, Dec 25: SDC Warriors emerged victorious after defeating Jugari Warriors in the third edition of Kudla Premier League here at Urwa cricket ground on Sunday, December 24.

Batting first, Jugari Warriors scored 37 runs in 8 overs. In reply, SDC warriors chased it down comfortably to take home the winners’ trophy of KPL season 3. The match was witnessed by a huge crowd.

Biruver Kudla, SDC Warriors, Urwa Bulls, Jugari Warriors, Red Hawks Mundana and Silver Fox Kudla were the six teams in the third edition of KPL.



Indian hockey player S V Sunil presented the winners’ trophy to SDC warriors.

SDC Warriors took away cash prize of Rs 3 lac along with the trophy. Runners-up Jugari Warriors took away Rs 2 lac. Imthiyaz from Urwa Bulls bagged the ‘Man of the Series’ award, and Santhosh Bantwal from SDC warriors bagged the ‘Man of the Match’ award.

Tilak Urwa, Manohar Boloor, Tulu movie director Rajesh Brahmavar, Tulu movie producer Pammi Kodialbail, Ranjan, Rohan Monteiro, BJP leader Capt Brijesh Chowta, John Suresh, Gautham Kodikal, Ganesh Chilimbi, Pradeep Kottary, Sharath Karkera, Allwyn Richard, Chethan Barke, Mohammed Kaif, Mohammad Ashraf, Prashanth and others were present.

R J Roopesh compered the stage function.
