Puttur: Police seize 80 kg of ganja worth Rs 6 lac from car, culprits escape

Puttur, Dec 24: In a major haul, Uppinangady police seized 80 kg of ganja that was being transported by car late night on Saturday December 23.

The culprits however managed to escape.

Based on credible information, the Uppinangay police stopped a Honda City car at Addehole in Shiradi Ghat.

The car was plying from Mangaluru towards Bengaluru.

While the Uppinangady were conducting inspection of the car, the culprits got out and ran into the woods and managed to escape.

The seized ganja is valued at Rs 6 lac.

Uppinangady police have registered a case and hunt is on for the accused.

    There should not be any concession for those who are drug transporters/peddlers, as it makes people drug addicts and killing them and destroying their families. Harshest punishment should be handed over to them that no one dare to deal with drugs.
