It is my ardent desire that Mnsgr. Raymond Mascarenhas should be elevated to Sainthood during my lifetime because Mnsgr. Raymond Mascarenhas gave me the First Holy Communion more than seventy years ago. He started the Bethany congregation which is now flourishing very well. I also vividly remember my first three years of elementary school at Bethany School in Kankanady. I still remember the nuns used to walk every day from their Convent in Bendore and appear more punctually than all the students, including myself.

I am also impressed with the Senior Citizens Home, "Kripa Devi" at Cascia where they took care of my sister for many years during her last few years of her life. I wish the Bethany Nuns devote more time for elderly people in their retirement age, and they will make more money than any other investment. I was also impressed with a handful of nuns that come from Nepal and Nagaland to take care of the sick and elderly.

Thank you, late Mnsgr. Mascarenhas for opening the gates of Bethany where thousands of good Bethany Nuns have risen up and served the poor and the needy. I still remember, late Sr. Lazarus who taught me at Kankanady School
and gave me the best of discipline that made me to be where I am today.
