Kundapur, Dec 16: A truck driver lost his life in an accident on Sunday December 17, after his vehicle that was parked by the roadside was hit by a moving truck at Ottinene here.
The deceased has been identified as Haneef (55), a resident of Hubballi. The cleaner of the stationary truck was severely injured in the incident.
The driver of the other truck that was carrying paper from Hubballi to Mangaluru lost the control of the vehicle as the steering broke and collided with the stationary tow truck that was parked by the side of the road as the driver and cleaner of the tow truck were taking rest. Due to the impact of the crash, the driver of the stationary truck died instantly.
Parameshwar, circle inspector, Byndoor police station and Thimmesh, station officer visited the spot and a case stands registered in the Byndoor police station in this regard.
