India opt to bowl against Sri Lanka in 3rd ODI


Visakhapatnam, Dec 17 (IANS): Indian captain Rohit Sharma won the toss and elected to bowl against Sri Lanka in the decisive third and final One-day International (ODI) here on Sunday.

India made one change in their side that beat the Islanders in Mohali, replacing teenage all-rounder Washington Sundar with left-arm wrist spinner Kuldeep Yadav.

Sri Lanka's new captain Thisara Perera brought in batsman Sadeera Samarawickrama in place of Lahiru Thirimanne.

The teams:

India: Shikhar Dhawan, Rohit Sharma (captain), Shreyas Iyer, Manish Pandey, Dinesh Karthik, Mahendra Singh Dhoni (wicket-keeper), Hardik Pandya, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Kuldeep Yadav, Jasprit Bumrah, Yuzvendra Chahal.

Sri Lanka: Upul Tharanga, Danushka Gunathilaka, Sadeera Samarawickrama, Angelo Mathews, Asela Gunaratne, Niroshan Dickwella (wicket-keeper), Thisara Perera (captain), Sachith Pathirana, Suranga Lakmal, Akila Dananjaya, Nuwan Pradeep.
