MP: Man rapes 4-yr-old girl, crushes head with stone to hide her identity

Dhar (Madhya Pradesh), Dec 17 (PTI): A four-year-old tribal girl in Madhya Pradesh was allegedly raped by a man, who smashed her head with a stone to make it difficult to identify her and dumped her body in a forest, police said.

Karan, 25, who lived next door in Manawar, about 325 km from Bhopal, lured the girl to a deserted place where he sexually assaulted her, police said.

Superintendent of Police Virendra Singh said that after raping the girl, Karan smashed her head with a stone to destroy evidence and dumped her in a forest about 500 metres from her home, Singh said.

"We found her body in the forest and after investigation, we rounded up Karan who confessed to the crime," added Singh.

The body has been sent for postmortem to Indore and further investigations are underway, he said.

when I hear such horrible and unhuman things feel like vomitting on their face and sad.As our Governor what said about people who think of anniversery day of a terrorist should be shot,is here the right thing to do.No other treatment for such sickness.whether a dalit or a higher grad child, makes no difference.only who treat them are dalits, not bornone. No more comment on such people may the small girl be born again if a second chance is there in a high clas family to spare her this horrible pain and horror act.may her soul rest in peace.Heartfelt sympathy to her family.

Chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan recently claimed that Madhya Pradesh was way ahead of the United States in terms of women’s empowerment after he returned from his visit to the country.

Figures, however, show Madhya Pradesh continues to be one of the most unsafe and dangerous places for women in the country as one woman is raped in the central state almost every two hours.

Data submitted in the state legislative assembly in February this year shows 11 women were raped every day and six gang-raped almost every week in Madhya Pradesh between February 1, 2016, and mid-February 2017.

As many as 4279 women were raped and 248 gang-raped in Madhya Pradesh. And of the 4279 rape victims, over half or 2260 were minors.

The National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB) data released for 2015 shows Madhya Pradesh reported 4391 - the highest number of rape cases in the country in that year. In 2014, the state reported 5076 rape cases, accounting for 14% of the total rape cases reported from across the country.

The Heart of Incredible India roads may be better than United States as per Chief Minister but for women journey is most unsafe.

For BJP 'Triple Talaq' is the pride. But women safety least cared.
