Mangaluru: Dr Ganesh Pai invited to 'Cutaneous Fungal Infection' meet in Mumbai

Media Release

Mangaluru, Dec 16: Dr Ganesh S.Pai, managing director of Derma-Care, Skin and Cosmetology Centre has been invited as an expert and chairman in Advisory Board meeting related to Superficial Cutaneous Fungal Infection on December 17 (Sunday) to Mumbai.

The changing epidemiology of the skin fungal disease in India and deteriorating clinical responses to treatment (particularly to Itraconazole) necessitates a meeting of senior skin specialists to formulate appropriate guidelines for therapy. It is realized that there is a need to conduct a real world clinical study to understand the scenario better. Hence the team is evaluating the possibility and feasibility of conducting one such study in India.

The objectives of the meeting are mentioned below:
To review the current clinical situation of superficial cutaneous fungal infection in India.
To understand the key unmet needs related to management of SCFI.
To assess the feasibility of conducting the proposed study in India.
To seek insights and feedback on design and logistics of the proposed study.

This meeting is sponsored by Janssen Pharmaceuticals.
