Bengaluru: Complaint against BJP MP Pratap Simha on 'provoking' posts


Bengaluru Dec 16 (DHNS): A social activist has lodged a complaint against Mysore-Kodagu BJP MP Pratap Simha for "uploading videos with provoking statements" in social media.

A Anand has filed the complaint with the cyber crime police seeking action against Simha for disturbing social harmony in the state and also issuing statements against serving police officers and senior officials. He has sought action under IPC Section 153A (promoting enmity between different groups on grounds of religion), 295A (deliberate and malicious acts, intended to outrage religious feelings of any class by insulting its religion or religious beliefs), 506 (criminal intimidation) and also under the Information Technology Act.

Cyber crime police said that they have received the complaint and were awaiting a legal opinion on registering an FIR.

    The city of Mysore has recently bagged cleanest city in India. Though city is visibility clean it elected member wanted to pollute using social media uploading provocative posts.
    If the MP can morph the pictures, let the common man morph the picture of MP and give them fitting reply in same token.
    If cyber law is applicable to common man it should effective on elected members too.

    Is Mysoreans don't have better people's representative that this low caliber communal leader?
    Do Mysoreans wanted another 'Muzaffarnagar' in their beautiful city of Wodeyar dynasty?
    Do cybercrime have different set of law for this MP who can post anything on his own will to disturb the communal harmony?
    Udupi MP Shobha Karandlaje posted fake pictures original uploaded by 'postcard.com' which works for BJP IT cell which resulted Honnavar communal riots. Do Mysoreans look for Honnavar way?

    see now how the police seeking legal opinion for register case against him. bcoz in Hunsure case they filed FIR without considering the facts & court blame the police for their mistakes. there was no restriction or section 144 was imposed in that place where he was arrested in the name of breaking prohibitory order. now this is another form of case since the earlier case is reversing the police.

    The MP does not represent the majority of hindus who are mature,tolerant and progressive.He is not performing his constitutional obligations an elected representative,such people will be shown their places in the next hustings.
