Bengaluru: Ananth Kumar Hegde unfit to be minister, says home minister

Bengaluru, Dec 15: The war of words between BJP and Congress leaders following the violent incidents in Uttara Kannada district after the alleged murder of a fisherman Paresh Mesta in Honnavar turned ugly with Union Minister for Skills Development and Entrepreneurship and the State Government blaming and calling names to each other.
Hegde has Chief Minister Siddaramaiah to see his face in the mirror before taking any decisions.

The five-time MP from Karwar said: "Days are not far off when your (Chief Minister’s close aides will ditch you in the middle of the water."

The Union Minister said State’s Home Minister B Ramalinga Reddy "is unfit" to hold the portfolio of Home.

"What can Reddy and Home Minister’s advisor M Kempaiah achieve by supporting anti-nationalists and arresting nationalists,’’ Hegde said.

Hegde in his Facebook post, has lashed out at Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, Home Minister B Ramalinga Reddy and Inspector General of Police (Western Range) Hemant Nimbalkar, who was camping in the town since the last few days to oversee law and order, for booking cases against innocent people in Sirsi, Honnavar and other parts of the district and warned them to be ready to face "Marikamba Habba,’’ an ugly political fight in the coming summer months.

The Marikamba Habba or festival is usually held in the month of March at Marikamba temple in Sirsi, and Hegde’s warning is an allusion to the forthcoming State Assembly polls to be held in the State in the months of April-May next year.

In a sharp rejoinder through tweet, Home Minister Ramalinga Redddy said: "Hegde is unfit to be the Union Minister. Let’s people decide, let him first learn to live like a human being with communal harmony."

The Home Minister asserted that it was the responsibility of the State Government to provide security to citizens and the Government would not shrink from discharging its duties.

"Like yours (Hegde’s), our policy is not divide and rule. We treat equally all human beings." Reddy said.
The people would teach a fitting lesson to you (BJP) for politicising the death of the teenager, Reddy warned.

"You people indulge in violence as per the directions of your (BJP) party president (Amit Shah). The people would teach you a lesson" Reddy said.

It may be recalled that the Sirsi Court’s decision of granting interim bail to 62 persons in connection with the violent incidents in Sirsi, Honnavar and Karwar has been termed by the BJP as a "moral victory.’’

The Home Minister is not the authority to decide who should be the minister or not. In fact, by what virtue and qualification he has been elevated as a minister. It is the prerogative of the party which wins and forms the government.

May I pose one more question to Mr. Reddy with due respect?

How many from your own party deserve and qualify to become and perform as Ministers.
See, it is not only the opposition, but your own party too playing the dirty game of divide and rule policy.
It is unfortunate that reservation still prevails after 70 years of independence. One country, one rule and equal qualifying norms for everyone would definitely remove inequality. it would overcome grudge and hat red.
I wish to recall my childhood days. My father was a staunch Congressman. I do not know whether you know that Mr. k.K.Shetty was your former MP from Mangalore before Mr. Janardhan Poojary.
My father was working as a Manager in his Canara Printing works which was in GHS Rad, Mangalore. My father as well as many others were humbled by him, not only selling the property without knowledge of anyone but also by not paying the dues and service.

No one from your own party came forward to our help, when we were small and actually were in need of help. We had a tough life. Fortunately, we all the four children could get good job and have come up in life. Today, we are quite well off; if not rich. But, we can never forget those days.

Please don't point out and talk shit about others. Your own people have not done any good to anyone.

God has given an opportunity. Please try to do good to the society or at least do not harm others. You may not suffer from your deeds but your children and grand children would pay for your mis-deeds.

The middle class people are least bothered about your caste, creed, religion politics. They are bothered about pulling on their life. They strive hard with an intention to provide better life to their kith and kin.

It's shame upon both political jackels. Accusing each others and fooling innocent public, playing with innocent tender lives just for vote gain. I recall those days when Ramakrishna Hedge was CM, no such deaths happened. Even in Kumarswamy tenure was free from communal issues. Congress and BJP is a curse for coastal Karnataka.

Ananth Kumar Hegde or AK Hegde's credentials are very suitable for joining Raj Thackeray's MNS. MNS can open branch office in Bengaluru to be headed by AK Hegde. Same DNA.

The basic thing that A K Hegde lacks is his approach towards fellow human beings. He should realise that we all live in a civilized society and the earlier he learns this basic concept the better it would be for him. I am referring to his manhandling of a doctor on duty and he way he was spewing venom against a particular community. Such reprehensible behavior cannot find place in a civilized society and certainly does not redound to the credit of a Minister. Let him take a leaf out of the books from the ministers belonging to his own party like Suresh Prabhu or Piyush Goyal.

Is killing Paresh is called as civilized society?
IG (police) hiding the death of Paresh is a nature of civilized society?
CM in the town of death and not condemning is known as civilized society?
Skewing the post mortem report is as per civilized society?
Not consoling the Paresh family is as per civilized society?
You not condoling a death case and commenting non sense is as per the standard of civilized society?
