Rahul's election 'murder of internal democracy' in Congress: Ali

New Delhi, Dec 12 (IANS): Congress leader from western Uttar Pradesh Ayub Ali, who wanted to contest the presidential election against Rahul Gandhi, on Monday called the election of Gandhi a "murder of internal democracy in Congress".

"The nation knows that I had filed nomination for Congress President post," Ali said on Twitter.

"However, CEA (Central Election Authority) president Mullapallyji (Ramachandran) has announced unopposed election of Rahul Gandhi as party president leading to murder of internal democracy in Congress," he added.

Ali last week had alleged that he wanted to contest the presidential election in the party against Vice President Rahul Gandhi but was prevented from doing so.

He told reporters that he had gone to meet Ramchandran and was not only disallowed to file the nomination papers for the post but also shouted at.

BJP and their supporters are totally confused about Rahul Gandhi. Sometimes they say that if Rahul is Congress leader it will be good for BJP to win. If that is the case then why are they not happy irrespective of which way he has become Congress President? Why should it matter to BJPians how he has become party president ? Why do they keep mocking the way he has become Cong President calling it all sorts of names - coronation, selection, dynast, Aurangzeb etc.. They should happy isn't it but it does not seem so. Why ?
Make up your minds BJPians ! Are you happy with Rahul as party president or not ? I am sure there will be no honest answer, only feku ones.

Where were you till now Ayub Ali ? Why did you not open your mouth before ? Is it because Amit Shah's blessings arrived late ? or is it that as per script Shehzad's performance is scheduled for first phase Dec.9 and your performance is scheduled for second phase Dec.14

Democracy rules applies to people's representation in Parliament, Assembly and Municipal Councils, Panchayat etc.
Not prescribed for political parties, industry etc. Not to mess up.
Their leaders are ✋ handpicked by founders!
If genuine democracy prevails where itshould as per law, then it's more than enough!

Ayub Ali close friend of Shehzad Poonawalla ? This is due to 'blessings' received from Amit Shah. After Gujarat elections all such allegations will end and will resurface only when the next elections are due elsewhere. Too much focus on elections hence the nation's work is being neglected.

A BJP plant to make unwanted noise. We have seen how internal democracy was practised in BJP with many tall leaders like Advani, Murali Mnohar Joshi etc have been sidelined inspite of their contribution to the party for so many years.

Very sad that, Gandhi doesn't want any outsider to come against him.... and still they want to continue with their family throughout. Rahul is not a capable of competing against Modi... His words always make no effect to people of India... Congress should have been appointed some one powerful like chidambaram ..
