Kundapur, Dec 11: In an accident which happened between a scooter and an auto rickshaw on the night of Sunday December 10, a youth riding a scooter, lost his life. He has been identified as Ashok Shetty.
The two-wheeler was moving towards Guddeangady from Mandi Moorukai while the auto rickshaw that was being driven towards Mandi Moorukai from Guddeangady collided with it. The two-wheeler rider, who fell to the road, suffered grievous injuries to his head. He breathed his last when being taken to a hospital at Hebri due to excess bleeding.
The auto rickshaw driver sustained injuries to his hand, while a passenger inside the auto rickshaw was injured on his leg. Amasebail police visited the spot and removed the vehicles which were obstructing traffic on this narrow road. A case about the accident was registered and investigation was undertaken.
