Tumakuru: Yettinahole project will become operational during March next year

Tumakuru, Dec 11: Yettinahole project, which aims at diverting water from Yettinahole rivulet to the plains, will be made functional from March next year onward. This was stated by Karnataka chief minister, Siddaramaiah.

Speaking at Madhugiri in the district on Saturday December 9, he informed that so far, Rs 2,500 crore has been spent on this project.

He clarified that the work of using 24 tmc water from the project for filling 527 tanks spread over Tumakuru, Kolar, Chikkaballapur as well as Bengaluru rural districts and Arasikere in Hassan district through this project will be hastened for the benefit of people.

    As per promises made only surplus water during rainy season will be pumped for this project. March. April is the time....reserve water is released to DK from Lakya dam to coastal districts to satisfy drinking water needs.
    Think in lines of installing desalination plants for drinking water supply to most parts of Karnataka.

    No one is bothered about our Tulunaadu. We have so many ministers and MP's from Mangalore and no one could raise voice against this project !! You know why because thy are been settled with what they had to get ! These politicians were only eating out tax money now they started to eat our lives too. It may be BJP, Congress, JDS anyone for that matter all are corrupt!! Shameless people on earth!! Its high time to get out and come on the streets and protest to save our Nethrawathi .

    Operational in March 2018! Does he know that the harsh summer is really going to hit Mangalore in March and water scarcity is going to show up then! So, what will actually be pumped in the Yettinahole pipes when there will no water around? Must wait and see what drama is done!
