Udupi: JD(S) to contest in all five constituencies in assembly elections

Udupi, Dec 9: “People are fed up of the administration of two national parties. They have only concentrated on their self development not about the development of the state. People of Karnataka are now recalling the days of Kumaraswami administration,” said Yogish Shetty Janathadal Udupi district president.

Addressing the press meet in JDS office, Yogish said, “We agree that in last elections we were not able to give a tough competition to national parties, but now we are building the party from grass root level. In Byndoor Constituency, our party members are visiting each and every house and are preparing for elections.”

“During the term of Kumaraswamy administration, he reached to people through various programs. If again Kumaraswamy government gets power, within 24 hours farmer’s loan will be waived. Pension to Handicaps and Senior citizen of Rs 2,500 and 5,000 respectively will be provided,” he added.

“In this general elections party will be contesting in all five constituencies in the district and the contestants names will be declared within a month. On 9 January 2018 a huge meeting of party volunteers of Dakshina Kannada and Udupi is planned to be organized in Nehru Maidan, Mangaluru,” he said. 

Abdul Khader, president Udupi constituency Vedhavyas Nayak, president Karkala constituency Rani Shetty, president Byndoor constituency were present at the press meet.
