BJP MP Nana Patole quits party and Lok Sabha

Mumbai, Dec 8 (IANS): Dissident BJP Maharashtra leader Nana Patole, who has been publicly attacking Prime Minister Narendra Modi, announced on Friday that he had resigned from the Lok Sabha and quit the party too.

Patole, elected from Bhandara-Gondiya, said he submitted his resignation to Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan's office and also to the Bharatiya Janata Party leadership. He said he was "deeply anguished and felt let down by the party".

His brief resignation letter addressed to Mahajan read: "Respected Madam, I hereby tender my resignation of my seat in the House with effect from today i.e. 08/12/17."

The development is seen as a blow to the BJP, coming a day ahead of the first round of the Gujarat Assembly polls on Saturday.

Patole, who has been highly critical of the BJP leadership in recent months, said he had quit the Lok Sabha and the party since he was "deeply anguished and felt let down by the party".

"The objectives with which I had joined the (BJP) party have been belied, but now (post-quitting) I am free of the turmoil in my mind," Patole told the media shortly after submitting his resignation letter to the Lok Sabha Secretariat.

He said he had not made up his mind on which party to join but would consider throwing his lot with "some like-minded" political outfit.

Patole created a sensation in September when he told a public function that Modi doesn't like to be questioned and criticized.

He also alleged that all central ministers "were always in a state of fear" and that he was "on the hit list but I am not afraid of anyone".

Finally some true leaders in BJP has got enlightenment after under four years of PM Modi's 'Good governance'.
The MP's resignation is genuine pertaining to farmers concern which BJP's paid mass media is hiding. The outburst of discontent in India’s heartland farming states of Madhya Pradesh and neighbouring Maharashtra poses a challenge for Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who has promised to double farmers’ incomes over the next five years.
580 farmers' suicides have been registered in Marathwada region of Maharashtra in the last eight months putting the government in poor light.
According to a report submitted by the Aurangabad Divisional Commissioner on August 14, Marathwada recorded 580 farmers' suicide between January 1, 2017 and August 13, 2017. The report, accessed by India Today, tells the complete story of the severity of farmers' suicides. Another shocker from the report being 34 farmers committing suicide between August 7 and August 13 this year.
When the Devendra Fadnavis led BJP government came to power, they started a 'Drought Cess' to help the farmers as part of which the state government collected Rs 1300 crore in 2015-16. Shockingly, there is no data available on the amount of 'Drought Cess' collected last year and how much of it has been spent on farmers.
In BJP ruled Madhya Pradesh is worst than Maharashtra five farmers shot dead in Madhya Pradesh as protests.
Two-thirds of India’s population of 1.3 billion depend on farming for their livelihood, but the sector accounts for just 14 percent of gross domestic product.
India now Faces $49.1 Bn farm-loan waivers–16 times 2017 budget for rural roads from BJP state governments.Farmer suicides in India rose to 8,007 in 2015 from 5,650 the previous year – an increase of 41.7 per cent, according to data released by the National Crime Records Bureau this year.

PM Modi is talking 'Aiyar' Supari. But least bothered about farmers suicides and welfare.
