Daijiworld Media Network – Mangaluru (SB)

Mangaluru, Dec 7: One person suffered injuries in a collision between a tractor and a bus at Bondel on Thursday, December 7.

A tractor arriving from Padavinangady moving towards Pachanady toppled in front of Bondel Church after a bus coming from Pachanady rammed into it. Tractor driver Shivananda (30) from Uttara Karnataka miraculously escaped with minor injuries. As result of the accident, the tractor was heavily damaged.

"Accidents are common in this area and authorities have not taken any precautionary measures yet. Speeding vehicles especially those towards airport and vice versa are threat to lives here,” said an eyewitness after the accident.

Kadri police arrived at the spot.

The private bus drivers have created a havoc
Reckless driving , horning loudly especially near School and residential area..especially near sacred heart School kulshekar where the road is so narrow . The hurry the bus drivers are in for what so ever reasons unkwown . They have no road ethics nor idea of the consequence one would have for this non sense behaviour. Old people walking to church on that small narrow road have their life at risk. If these private bus drivers are given training , caught on cctv footage for speeding , if people are given ways to complain about these drivers and if they are caught before they reach the next stop things might change . If there is shortage of busses on a particular route govt should introduce more busses so that these busses don’t rush
Hope the govt reads this and takes some useful decision in the interest of the citizens of the country

There was another accident in Nanthoor. due to a reckless driving of a city bus driver which has taken a life of an innocent. Now another incident... again I am sure it's due to a reckless driving of a city bus driver. But unfortunately authorities and the administration will act blind now also. they don't care. Never any action was taken against these bus drivers. I always see how they dare you to kill... honking, over speeding , overtaking... pushing smaller vehicles... pushing away cars also.. threatening them. Many a times we get down from the road to save our lives...
