Mangaluru: St Christopher Association celebrates hostel day

Mangaluru, Dec 6: The hostel day of St Christopher Association was celebrated here on December 4 with pomp and geity. Fr William Menezes, public relations officer of Mangaluru diocese arrived as chief guest.

President of the association, Francis D'Souza cordially welcomed all the guests. Rosario Church parish priest Fr J B Crasta in his message explained the facilities provided in the hostel and advised the inmates of the hostel to make use of them.

As in previous years, the annual hostel day was celebrated with joy. He congratulated the residents of the hostel and the executive committee members. The chief guest in his message said that the hostel is like another home for the residents away from their homes. “I am happy to see residents from different religions living here in harmony and hope the same continues."



Residents of the hostel expressed their feelings. Association secretary Nigil Pereira introduced the chief guest and thanked all those who took part in the celebrations. Assistant secretary Leena D'Souza compered the programme.
