Mangaluru: Babri Masjid demolition anniversary - Protests, processions banned on Dec 6

Daijiworld Media Network – Mangaluru (EP)

Mangaluru, Dec 5: In view of Babri Masjid demolition anniversary on December 6, the police commissioner has passed prohibitary orders under Section 35 of the Karnataka Police Act across the city on Wednesday December 6 from 6 am to midnight.

The probibitary orders are being imposed to prevent any untoward incidents that may disrupt peace in the city.

The disputed Babri Masjid in Ayodhya was demolished 25 years ago on December 6.

The order from the police commissioner stated, "Twenty-five years will be completed on December 6 since the demolition of Babri Majid. In this connection, PFI and SDPI organizations have informed that they will hold protests in Suratkal junction, Thokkotu junction, Ullal and Bajpe. Similarly, Hindu organizations have said that they will celebrate victory day, burst crackers and distribute sweets. Public meetings are likely to be held on the day for and against the incident.

"Hindu organizations will celebrate victory day and Muslim organizations will hold black day. Mangaluru city is communally sensitive. The programmes proposed to be held by the organizations are likely to disrupt public peace. Both the communities may put up banners, buntings, handbills and flags.

"Therefore, the deputy commissioner of police in his report has requested to ban processions, protests, rallies, 'rasta roko', gherao etc as the city is extremely sensitive. Friction between the two communities earlier in the year had created tension. As there is a possibility of hostilities between the two communities, it is necessary to prevent them," the order stated.

The police commissioner after considering the request by police deputy commissioner has banned protests, processions, rally, sit in protests, strikes etc in Mangaluru police commissionerate limits on December 6.

The order will be in force only in Mangaluru city police limits.

By terming this day as black day, we are continuing the seeds of hatred sown by Advani and like minded communal extremists. Demolition of Babri masjid created a rift between Hindus and Muslims in India. Now, we have a responsibility to teach the new generation to live in peace, forgetting the past. So all educated citizens should avoid any acts of remembering the bitter past.
    No glorification, no black day.

if babri masjid is compromised then 33000 gods are ready to claim. Law minister ravi shanker prasad himself argued infavour of one of the god in allahabad highcourt. Twenty five years withou any punishment for masjid demolishers but only triple talaq mattered for some namesake muslim mahila andolanist opportunists who paid well by modi.

Black day for India, not because they demolished babar masjid, but today is the day that hatred was introduced.

Today is the day thousands of people were killed irrespective of cast or religion

Today is the day when people started choosing Hindu area and Muslim Area, and started shifting.

Today is the day politicians started taking benefits by fooling us for their selfish motives.

Untill today there was no Hindu Muslim difference , no Hindu area Muslim area, All were brothers.

I want to see those day back again where people lived peacefully , without any hatred or fear.

Hope that day will come, Jai Hind.
