Will BJP government be only for rich, asks Rahul

New Delhi, Dec 5 (IANS): As part of his strategy to put one question daily to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday asked if the Bharatiya Janata Party's government will be working only for the rich.

In a ditty form, Gandhi flayed the adverse impact of demonetisation, Goods and Services Tax, and inflation.

In his tweet, the Congress leader put out a tabulated list of essential commodities like milk, pulse, cooking gas, onions and tomatoes, giving the increase in their prices in percentage over a period of time.

The percentage-wise figures, however, were wrongly calculated. Later, the tweet was corrected to show increase in rupees against the listed commodities.

Gandhi has been putting one question every day in a bid to take on the Bharatiya Janata Party government in Gujarat, which will vote in assembly elections on December 9 and 14.

He previously put out posers on unemployment among youths, women safety, education, "undue benefit" to power selling companies, state debt, and the Prime Minister's flagship Housing for All scheme.

It was said to be the biggest scam of independent India the 2G spectrum case which candidate Narendra Modi, in the run up to the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, made a by-word for crony capitalism under the United Progressive Alliance.
The judgment in the high profile 2G case is expected next month. The legal outcome of India’s biggest scam which partly helped the BJP ride to power in 2014.
The Reliance Group head was meant to be a star witness for the prosecution as 2G Scam verdict draws Anil Ambani and Nitu Ambani says total 'memory loss' on his part, at least as far as matters relating to 2G-related issues were concerned.
One question that may be raised by Anil Ambani’s testimony and the apparent memory loss it discloses is how a person who does not remember decisions taken, who signs on to documents without reading them, and who does not even remember if he is a promoter of companies owned by him, can carry out his duties toward million of shareholders in a “fit and proper” manner.
Surprisingly the man with total 'memory loss' having 'zero experience' in defence venture granted Rs30,000 crores manufacturing of 'Rafale' jet cancelling the deal from public sector company HAL of Banglore.
Anil Ambani’s newly formed Reliance Defence had struck a joint venture with Dassault Aviation that sold Rafale within 10 days of Modi announcing the deal. It looks like Gautam Adani, another close friend of Modi, too is keenly following in the footsteps of Anil Ambani in benefiting from the prime minister’s shopping spree in the defence sector.
A newly created alliance between a Swedish arms manufacturer and Adani Group is aiming for a much bigger pie while India is planning to spend a whopping $250 billion to modernise its armed forces.
Public sector banks have written off loans of Rs 55,356 crore during April-September 2017. The combined bad loans of 21 PSBs are estimated at Rs 7.33 lakh crores.
PM Modi government is not only serving the rich but robbing the poor.

Instead of Asking Questions to PM or BJP he should First ask Questions to his Mother then Mannu Kaaka (MMS) and all the rest Congress Ministers how much money they made in Various Scams when they were in power. If he knows Answer he should declare honestly to Indian Public.

It's the duty of the prevailing government to recover the scam money as promised in the last poll manifesto and along with Swiss bank money distribute it among the population. But this government has a bad reputation at estimation. Estimated 2 lakh crores of black money prior to demonetization turned out to be just 16 k crores, much less than the expenditure incurred towards process of demonization itself, not to mention the loss of lives of over 100 poor citizens.

    Dear Geoffrey
At least they are doing something about it. May be their targets were wrong.Or may not achieve it, At least they are attempting to by taking risks , implementing unpopulist moves like Gst& Demon. More people are obliged to pay taxes now.Unlike before. Small time Black money stashers have paid penalty and.converted them into white. Govt went ahead despite a threat of facing furious public during.elections. this govt also had a option of sitting silently on the trash just like congress with the Slogan Thum Khao,Humein show khaane dho. Unlike before oppositions allegation on the govt is only about the Cost of Modis Baniyan or Chaddi..Or who sponsored it. No 2G, no CWG till date.

Yes at least they are doing something and something is better than nothing, but nothing is better than nonsense. It's not just 'unpopulist' but demonetization had failed miserably in Ghana, Zimbabwe, Nigeria and Pakistan and instead of learning from their mistakes, our leader enrolled our nation in that 'elite' group. Changing goalposts just proved the predictions of MMS and many economists to be true which later endorsed by EDUCATED BJP leaders Swamy, Shourie and Sinha and you guys are still singing praises of it!
