Modi says Cong gone bankrupt, dubs Rahul's elevation as 'Aurangzebi raj'

Dharampur (Gujarat), Dec 4 (PTI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday slammed Rahul Gandhi's expected elevation as Congress President, dubbing it as "Aurangzebi raj".

Without referring to the National Herald case, in which Rahul Gandhi had got bail, Modi, addressing a campaign rally in Valsad district of Gujarat, said, "Congress has gone bankrupt, as it is going to make a person who is out on bail
in corruption case its president."

"I congratulate the Congress on their 'Aurangzeb Raj.' For us, the well being of the people matters and 125 crore Indians are our high command," PM said.

Taking potshots at the opposition party, the prime minister said, "Mani Shanker Aiyar who was a minister in Congress government said 'did elections happen during Mughal rule? After Jahangir, Shahjahan came, was any election held? After Shahjahan it was understood that Aurangzeb would be the leader.' Does the Congress accept that it is a family party? We don't want this Aurangzeb rule," Modi said.

Rahul Gandhi on Monday filed his nomination papers for the party's chief post.

The Reliance Group head was meant to be a star witness for the prosecution against his own executives. As 2G scam verdict draws near, questions remain about Anil Ambani’s and Nitu Ambani ‘Memory Loss’.
The judgment in the high profile 2G case is expected next month. The legal outcome of India’s biggest scam which partly helped the BJP ride to power in 2014 will also decide whether the credibility of India’s criminal justice system is still intact.
One question that may be raised by Anil Ambani’s testimony and the apparent memory loss it discloses is how a person who does not remember decisions taken, who signs on to documents without reading them, and who does not even remember if he is a promoter of companies owned by him, can carry out his duties toward million of shareholders in a “fit and proper” manner.
In other hand the combined bad loans of 21 PSBs are estimated at Rs 7.33 lakh crore as at the end of September this year. Public sector banks (PSBs) have written off loans of Rs 55,356 crore during April-September 2017, nearly 54% more compared to the same period last fiscal, as per data compiled by rating agency ICRA. PSBs had written off Rs 35,985 crore in loans during April-September 2016. The report also noted that over the last decade, banks have written of Rs 2,28,253 crore in nine years (from FY 2008 to FY 2016).
Demonetisation and GST has failed worst that 'Tughlaq Raj'. Now with Anil Ambani temporary memory loss PM Modi's government making him partner in 'Rafel Jel' manufacturing worth of Rs30,000 pushed the national security into jeopardy.
PM Modi may be right. Congress may have gone bankrupt with all his corrupt leaders being absorbed by BJP and 'Good governors' of future India. At last know Congress can sigh of relief that it's party is cleansed of corrupt leaders.

Very true. When the PM speaks in rallies, he talks more about opposition parties than the BJP's (ill) achievements. He should be awarded Oscar for best mimicry artist. Know well how he imitates Rahul Gandhi and other opposition leaders. Think of Man Mohan Singh, how he maintained the high standard, dignity and respect as a great PM.

BJP called him 'useless Pappu' all the while. Now, all of a sudden, according to the Prime Minister, he has become the powerful Emperor Aurangazeb! Is it because, despite every move against him, Rahul has risen.

Election of Congress is purely internal matter of Congress party. Why Modiji is so much concerned about Rahul Gandhi elevation of Congress party President.

Definitely Modiji is suffering from Rahul phobia. Like in Gujarath, Modiji will have some more shocks in future. Whoever wins in Gujarath, Rahul Gandhi has given strong shock to Modiji and Amit Shah; as Amit Shah was exposed completely.

We wish Rahul Gandhi, all the best.

By speaking harshly on other political party affairs, PM Modi is showing his utter frustrations.
As a highest constitutional authority he shouldn't meddle much in other party position related matters but devout his undivided attentions to matters of national interest alone.
His very concern shows he is threatened!
If Rahul has court case, the matter is sub-judice, less commented on the matter is better for PM Modi himself also had so many cases on him.
Speaking on such matter will open pandora's box. So many countries refused him VISA even.
Let both work for people, and let people decide.

Modi is losing sleep due to Rahul Gandhi. What Modi is doing day in and out in Gujrat. Even in sleep Modi is seeing Rahul Gandhi. BJP has gone totally bonkers because of congress catching up in Gujrat. EVMs are difficult choice in Gujrat unlike in UP, MP, Rajasthan etc. Difficult days ahead for BJP.

You can fool people once but not all the time. Gullible people fell victim to BJP false promises and corruption free governance but people across are seeing the results and governance which is worse in history of independent India and going from bad to worse. BTW, EVMs are helpless in the long run.
