Mangaluru Nov 28: "District Youth Congress is all set to organize a torchlight procession against PM Narendra Modi led-central government on December 9. The procession will start from Karavali ground, Lalbagh and culminate at Bunts Hostel ground," said district Youth Congress president Mithun Rai.

Addressing media persons here on Tuesday, November 28, Mithun Rai said, "Prior to the torch light procession, we will hold a campaign under the theme ‘Bharat Naraluthide’ from Wednesday November 29. The campaign will convey the aim of about the failure of central government through street play, LCD display and pamphlet in the district."

"KPCC president G Parameshwar, working president of KPCC Dinesh Gundu Rao, district in-charge minister Ramanath Rai, minister for food and civil supplies minister U T Khader, chief whip of legislative council Ivan D’Souza, MLAs J R Lobo and Mohiuddin Bava will take part in the procession. We will pay condolence to those who died standing in the queue after demonetisation of currency notes."

Criticizing the central government, he said, "PM Modi has utterly failed in fulfilling his promises. GST and demonetisation have put people into deep trouble. Even the prices of gas, petrol and diesel have skyrocketed. The promises made at the time of demonetisation have never been fulfilled and soldiers are losing their lives at the border. The central government has utterly failed in its administration and people should be aware about this failure."

Youth Congress vice-president Lukman Bantwal, general secretary Sohail Kandak, Prasad Malli, Kiran and others were present.
