The people who were in the temple rushed to Sriram's rescue and brought him out of the water. Though he was taken to hospital immediately, Sriram breathed his last on the way.

Someone told me that his relative in Canada has a big house with swimming pool. All do have walls around their houses, but, even then in his friend's neighbourhood, some boys jumped the wall and started swimming in that pool while they were away, and unfortunately one boy was drowned. The house owner was arrested and was told, that they should have fenced the pool and locked when they went out.

Of course, we cannot have like that in India, but, still accidents do happen frequently. hence something should be done to protect children under such situations.

Very sad incident.Parents should have taken the boy with them instead of allowing him to stay to play.second they should have given the first aid on the spot ,before taking him to hospital. It is very very important that his lungs are free.from water and he breaths. Then can be taken to hospital.May be he was too long in water.very very sad.Heartfelt sympathys to the family.May his soul rest in peace.

These days even grown up people drown in ponds, rivers, lakes... How can we talk about carelessness of a 7 year old boy? All we can do is pray consolation for the boy's family.
