Udupi: Togadia criticized for sitting cross-legged next to Pejawar Swamiji

Udupi, Nov 24: Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) leader Pravin Togadia is being criticized heavily after a photograph of him sitting cross-legged next to Pejawar Swamiji went viral on social media.

The international working president of VHP, who is in city to take part in three-day Dharma Sansad, is being condemned by followers of Swamiji for showing ‘disrespect' to the seer by sitting with his legs crossed during the inaugural ceremony of Hindu Vaibhava on Friday morning.

The photo was widely circulated on WhatsApp, Facebook and Twitter since morning today.

Dharma Sansad convention will see thousands of seers, Math heads and Hindu leaders from across the nation discuss the issues like construction of Ram temple, prevention of religious conversions, and cow protection among other issues.

Resolutions will be adopted on the concluding day.

    I think we have to change our thoughts in this modern era. It should be fine if the man respects the swamiji and opts to sit comfortably on a seat. Media is simply agitating all this nonsense to in turn agitate the people. We should look for some useful and actual issues to discuss other than someone's seating posture.

    I had paid Rs. 500 for the Ram Mandir. VHP people enjoyed the money of the citizens of India. Ram Temple is big scam by VHP. BJP is the partner in this scam.

    I am actually glad that you got what you deserved. Ram Mandir will never be built in our life time and I hope it never is.
    The country has much bigger and real challenges affecting the socio-economic structure of millions of people in all walks of life and Ram Mandir isn't one of them. To tell you the truth, I am more concerned with the state of gutters in urban India is much more important than the status of Ram Mandir in Ayodhya.
    Mandir and Masjid is nothing but an ego issue for VHP and Muslim organisations (and hundreds of other sister organisations).

    Poor Togadia must be suffering from cramps in the calf muscle, since he was sitting next to the Pejawar Seer he could not help massaging the calf muscle hence crossing the leg and giving massage to relieve the cramped muscle. So you must understand accept this posture of Togadia you see. Anyway the assemble was called to promote the values of Hinduism - compassion towards those who suffer!

    Hope someone explains to him respect to one another is the core fundamentals of any religion. Hate has no place in any society and religious conversion is fundamental rights of civil society without fear or without his authority. Hope he has done enough homework before he makes his decision to preach.

    Who is Thogadia and what is the problem if he sits cross legged? But if any one has courage grill him for his attitude for calling India as Hindu nation against the constitution of India! He is as powerful and wealthy like any tycoon Or hard earned industrialist just because of religion agenda! People forget that life span is active max 90 to95 years! By then others will take over with slight modifications! India will be super power if religion is separated from politics! Religion is used in most funny way to amass wealth in a India!

    here vhp meeting of dharam sanskar. this the sanskar of vhp leader. Originally mr pravin togaidia was a practicing doctor at gujarat after becoming vhp leader suddenly he became millionaire, owing several crores of rupees real estate in gujarat and mumbai. where all these money came to him. why there no income tax/cbi raid on him.if any other politician or person who opposing RSS ideology and wearing shoes nd sitting with the swamji the same rss people would have shouted in media/press and on the streets. these people are the most hypocrite people on this earth.
