Belagavi: BJP will fall flat on its face with 'Mission 150' goal - CM Siddaramaiah

Belagavi Nov 24 (DHNS): Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Thursday claimed that his "Karnataka model" of development had a created a wave in favour of the ruling party and that the BJP's "mission 150" goal for the 2018 polls would fall flat on its face.

In his three-hour reply to a special discussion on north Karnataka in the Assembly, Siddaramaiah said there was no "anti-incumbency" anywhere in the state even at the fag end of his government.

He listed out the achievements of his government for the development of north Karnataka and rubbished BJP's charges that the government had meted out injustice to north Karnataka.

"The BJP leaders have become desperate as it has now dawned up on them that they have little chance of coming to power after the next polls. Their 'mission 150' will end up as 'mission 50'," the chief minister said.

Siddaramaiah said the state, especially north Karnataka, had witnessed unprecedented development during the last four and half years and said "facts and figures" were testimony to his claim.

The government will announce an action plan for the development of backward taluks after the Mysuru-based Centre for Multi-Disciplinary Research submits an evaluation of implementation of the recommendations of the D M Nanjundappa committee report on regional imbalances.

He sought the intervention of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to solve the inter-state Mahadayi river water dispute with neighboring Maharashtra and Goa.

"Out-of-court settlement of the issue is possible only if the prime minister intervenes," he said.

Interestingly only four MLAs Jagadish Shettar, A S Nadahalli, Y S V Datta and N H Konaraddi - spoke during the discussion.

More than 100 MLAs represent the 17 districts comprising North Karnataka.

Nothing better to talk other than BJP. Believe he has a phobia towards BJP. Talk some developments and your accomplishments ( except Congress corruption which is top most) rather than taking about Central govt. What have you done as CM to the state of Karnataka during your regime. We want to hear that.

I do not like this guys arrogance. Its a bit too much. You never know. Cong has made many blunders in the state. The only factor that is working 'for' Cong is the fact, that BJP does not have a good leader .Yediurappa is tainted.

    Sir Thomas,

Where is the point of being arrogance? He is speaking the truth.Should we praise BJP for their gotalas.Wrong is wrong ,it ll be outspoken by the entire kannadigas.
He is atleast not into the words like chopping ,cutting, firing etc.He is the IRON MAN OF KARNATAKA.This one man has made the BJP in ventillator.WE SUPPORT HIM FOR HIS DEVELOPMENTS IN KARNATAKA.He is now launching electric buses soon in Bengaluru.Keeping in mind Delhi's environment hazard. His positive reaction and immediate solution has made him elevated in the eyes of common man.

We hope congress will come. Our prayers too. Same time let congress work for the people. Let them lead a selfless life and render selfless services to the people of India. Today I got whatsap message in airport people stealing things of foreigners . With minimum luggage they are allowed. And for over luggage they are charged sometimes more than their product cost. And if this is stollen by airport officials means what type of heart they have. All this can be avoided only by Government. Government should take steps to avoid such things.

If there is union they do strike and obtain they want. Poor people who work hard will suffer in different areas. If Congress Govt. look in it they are really winners.
