Meerut, Nov 23 (Deccan Chronicle): It’s not only Zaheer Khan’s wedding with girlfriend Sagarika Ghatge that has been making the news. On Thursday, Team India pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar also got hitched to fiancée Nupur Nagar in Meerut.
With the dates of the ceremony being announced previously, the star bowler opted out of the 2nd Test against Sri Lanka along with teammate Shikhar Dhawan. Bhuvneshwar made official the wedding date in a video posted by the Delhi batsman on Instagram.
Pictures and videos of the mehendi and wedding ceremony soon flooded on social media.
Celebrations aren’t over yet. In a couple of days, another reception will be held at Bulandshahr, which is Nupur’s hometown, which will be only attended by close relatives and family members.
However, Bhuvneshwar has planned a grand occasion for his teammates of the Indian cricket team. The likes of MS Dhoni, Virat Kohli, Ravindra Jadeja and many others are set to attend along with top officials from Uttar Pradesh Cricket Association and the BCCI.
While Bhuvneshwar’s presence will be a big miss in Virat Kohli’s team, it has opened an opportunity for Tamil Nadu all-rounder and one-day skipper Vijay Shankar, who has been roped in as his replacement.
