Karkala: Three arrested with 30 country-made bombs at Hebri

Karkala, Nov 22: Hebri police arrested three persons who were carrying 30 country-made bombs at Shivapura on Tuesday November 21.

The accused have been identified as Nagesh Nayak (35), resident of Hebri Kanyana, Gunakar Shetty (56), resident of Altadi Ardi and Laxman Shetty also known as Lachu Shetty (67), resident of Altadi Madamakki.

The three were arrested when Hebri police inspector, while on duty at Shivapura on November 21 found thirty country-made bombs under the seat of a TVS Jupiter being ridden by by Nagesh Nayak.

Circle inspector Joy Anthony, Hebri police inspector Jagannath and staff arrested the accused on the orders of ASP Rishikesh Sonavane.

A case has been registered at Hebri police station.

    This amunation used for hunting wild bore(raan dukor). I along with Thalak and Gibba 3 Vincy master used to hunt wild bore using this Thotte. Many times we used to come by empty handed .

    My uncle had a big coconut plantation and some years back, he found some one was systematically stealing tender coconuts. Uncle had doubt on someone, but, he wanted to solve the problem in a nice way.

    He called that man to his house and after giving tea and snacks, narrated the problem of tender coconuts being stolen. He asked that man whether he knew someone, who made country bombs, because, he wanted to keep them in the garden. Uncle told him to find out and tell him.

    That man neither found out the bomb maker, nor the tender coconuts were stolen from that day.

    @Iwish Iwas there Bharain, unfortunately they were caught by police.But I am sure they must have made it for someone on contract.Sure they wouldnt use it personally.Of course ,even these country bombs can cause immense injury ,even to life .They are country people ,dont think of a terror.But one cant say.
