Udupi: Hindu Dharma Sansad - ‘Ugrana Muhurta’ held

Udupi, Nov 21: 'Ugrana (godown) Muhurta' for the upcoming Hindu Dharma Sansad was held at Dharma Sansad Chathra set up at Royal Garden, near Kalsanka here on Monday, November 20.

Pejawar Math Diwan Hebbar inaugurated the Ugrana (godown) by lighting the lamp.

Addressing the gathering, VHP leader M B Puranik said, “The countdown has begun for the glorious Hindu Dharma Sansad. The summit will start on November 23. A huge number of volunteers will attend the programme. The ‘Ugrana’ is set up for providing good hospitality to saints and seers, who will come from far off places. Food will be provided for around 5000 devotees every day.”

The Ugrana is named 'Sri Krishna Prasada Bhavan'.

Priest Sagri Vedavyasa Aithal offered pooja and prayer at the Ugrana.

Gopal G, a VHP leader said, “All the preparation for the event is being under the leadership of Pejawar Paryaya Math Sri Vishwesha Theertha Swamiji. Udupi Sri Krishna Math is known as Anna Brahma Sanidhya. Anna Santharpana will be held for six days continuously. It will begin from November 21 till afternoon of November 27. The purpose of this Ugrana is to satisfy every single devotee. Let the programme be a huge success.”

“The historical Dharma Sansad will be held with the slogan is 'we are one, we are friends and we are Hindus'. This is being organized to eliminate insults being made to Hindu religion. Hence, here we will take important resolutions in the three-day programme,” he added.

VHP leader Monohar Tulajaram, former MLA Raghupati Bhat, Mangaluru regional co convener of Bajrang Dal Sunil K R, Shambhu Shetty, Thanmaya Goswamy, Manjunath Hebbar, Bhagyashree Aithal and others were present.
