Kundapur, Nov 14: "In tune with Prime Minister, Narendra Modi's slogan, 'Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas', we will work with unity, honesty and efficiency so that the citizens of the state can live with self respect. Byndoor constituency will be adopted and transformed into a model assembly constituency in the state," said MP and state BJP president, B S Yeddyurappa.

He was addressing a huge public meeting organized in the ground opposite Sandeepan English Medium School at Kirimanjeshwar - Nagur in the taluk as part of BJP's 'Parivartana Yatra' on Monday November 13.

Yeddyurappa said that although Suvarna Soudha was built at Belagavi by spending Rs 400 crore, the government has failed to hold even 15 days session of the legislature there every year. "It has failed to even open government offices here. For maintenance of this building alone, four to five crore rupees is being spent annually. Administrative system has crashed everywhere. Corruption is ruling the roost. Law and order situation has vitiated. Murders and robberies have become the order of the day. On the one hand, corrupt Siddaramaiah is ruling the state, while rapist Venugopal has been functioning as Congress in charge. Both of them are trying to turn Karnataka bankrupt. Even after first information report was filed against minister K J George by Central Bureau of Investigation, he is not willing to leave ministerial berth. Congressmen have forgotten about their responsibility to think about people's welfare. Congress is running the government like eccentric king, Muhammad Bin Tughlaq," he said.

Union minister, Ananth Kumar Hegde, who spoke on the occasion, said that the backbone of Congress party has been broken. He felt that Congress party is on the verge of extinction in Karnataka too. "We have to root out Congress in the coming election. The government led by Siddaramaiah is under the false impression that it can rise to power again by sowing the poisonous seeds of castes and religions. The large gathering here goes to prove that people want change. Towards ridding the state of Congress rule, everyone should support lotus and take a pledge to kick out Siddaramaiah government," he said.

MP, Shobha Karandlaje, explained that Parivartana Yatra aims at bringing transformation in the lives of the people of Karnataka under the concept of achieving welfare of everyone and sharing the same level of lifestyle in the state. "This Yatra has become the pointer to the results of the next election. This Yatra is creating history by drawing huge crowds wherever it visited. All the government departments now are full of corruption. If we allow Congress, which is being led by a rapist, to rule the state, the chief minister and Congress in-charge will doom the state," she warned.

MP, Sriramulu, former MP, K Jayaprakash Hegde, MLC, Kota Srinivas Poojary, Bharathi Shetty, Tejaswini Gowda, BJP district president, Mattaru Ratnakar Hegde, zilla panchayat president, Dinakar Babu, B M Sukumar Shetty, former MLA, K Lakshminarayana, K Raghupati Bhat and Lalaji Mendon, Udayakumar Shetty, Tingale Vikramarjun Hegde, and members of zilla, taluk and gram panchayats were present.

Block president, Sadananda Uppinakudru, welcomed. Priyadarshini proposed vote of thanks. Balachandra Bhat, and Deepak Kumar Shetty, presented the programme. The Yatra was accorded grand welcome on its arrival near Nagur bus and led to the venue of the meeting in a procession. Over 5,000 people who gathered at the spot proved the popularity of the Yatra in this part of the district.
