Mangaluru Nov 11: Father Muller Medical College’s department of Medicine will organise competitions on the eve of World Diabetes Day on November 14, informed Dr Archana Bhat, professor, department of Medicine.

Addressing media here on Saturday, November 11, Dr Archana Bhat said, "Diabetes is one of the non-communicable diseases. We need to create awareness about diabetes and its effects to the general public. This has been a common disease in our country. More number of women suffers from this disease.”

“Poster making competition is organised for school going children across Mangaluru on the theme ‘Diabetes and Women'. Workshop is also organised on the same theme at Father Muller OPD and Knowledge Centre Hall to create awareness this disease.

HOD of department of Medicine Dr Arunachalam was present.
