Mangaluru, Nov 10: St Agnes PU College held the Annual Sports Meet 2017-18 on November 9 at the college grounds upholding the aspects of sporting events. DCP Uma Prashanth, DCP, Crime and Traffic, was the chief guest for the ceremony.
Dr Sr Maria Roopa, joint secretary of St Agnes Institutions, Anita Dehnugar, vice president of PTA executive committee, Sr M Shamita, principal, Sr Norine D’Souza, vice principal, Jayashree, physical director, and teaching and non teaching staff graced the occasion.
Preema Pereira, lecturer in Computer Science, introduced the chief guest and delivered the welcome address. The chief guest took the salute for the impressive march past and addressed the students about women empowerment, importance of health, excelling in studies and to be economically independent.
Thereafter, the events of the day started and all the students actively participated in various events with full sportsmanship spirit.
The winners of the various events were applauded and honoured with medals and prizes.
The programme came to an end with the vote of thanks and national anthem.
