surprising to see christians supporting this.
tipu did the maximum damage to christians in the history of konkan region.
    Thousands were killed.

Looks like BJP is more pro-christians than Congress.
Sad to see Catholic MLA/MP etc keeping quiet.

I just don't understand the need to organise the Tippu Jayanti. Why waste the tax payers' hard earned money to celebrate the Jayanti who had ruled hundreds of years ago. He is dead and gone. Why pull him out of the history books and ruffle feathers just to please members of a particular community with the intention of getting votes. It is an ill-advised decision. Waste of public money. Just as I condemn this Jayanti, I castigate the Parivartana Yatra too. Use the money so recklessly spent on something productive, for the good of the people.

Hey Mr. What you know about tippu. Unnecessary do not comment anything. If you have gutts then ask your P.M why he is wasting so much public money to visit same places now and then.

What a waste of resources and public money for the fancy of few self serving politicians ? What an ignorance of history ? Tippu was responsible for the imprisonment and death of thousands of christians in Srirangapattanam prison. The few people who survived after 15 years of imprisonment returned to see that their houses and farms were taken over by others. The sad history goes hidden because of the forgiving spirit of christians.

If there is no joy, happiness, peace, goodness then why we want such celebrations??? So called celebrations are conflicting, useless and waste of time, money, energy & resources.
At present there are so many other problems & issues to deal and giving proper importance to them is the need of the hour. Thank you and God bless each and every one of us.

Although Iam not a fan of tipu, he has done nothing for Muslim community. All I know a bit he was a king of Indian soil. I strongly object the way you addressed ‘notorious’. He was a patriot. He fought for india. He never compromised for the sake of his chair unlike RSS leaders. Before you comment anything you read history well. Oh, sorry, in Sharjah you don’t get time to do all these.

clear evidence to the arrogance of the CM Mr. Siddu. Hope eye opener for many of you.... It's celebrated across Karnataka, irrespective most of the places have rejected to celebrate. Many cities are burnt last year due to this. so, now by force they are doing it. What a shame to us Hindus... Shame on us to have such a cruel leadership.

Christian Leaders who left no stone unturned in silly LHH Rd renaming issue to get a stay from Congress Govt , are Salient spectators this time. They don’t want their voices to strengthen BJP,s Cause. Such is their love for Congress.

A Jayanthi or Bday should be a celebratory . Not with the fear of law. Why do we need just 'celebrations'? in the first place. A ploy by the state Govt just to appease a certain community. HOpe this Govt is replaced at the earliest.
