Riyadh: India Fraternity Forum holds family get-together ‘Sneha Koota’

Riyadh, Nov 9: India Fraternity Forum, Karnataka chapter, organised a fun-filled family get-together, under the theme ‘Sneha Koota-2017’ at Al Rushd Istirah Riyadh, November 2.

It was heartening to see families including infants to all age group arriving with great enthusiasm. Kids filled the place with joy and laughter all set for a great fun time. The family day out began with the Qirath by Hasanulbanna.

IFF Karnataka Riyadh general secretary Tajuddin Puttur welcomed the guests and gathering and explained the vision and work of India Fraternity Forum.

The programme was presided over by IFF Karnataka Riyadh president Ismail Inoli in his presidential speech. He said, “This event will strengthen the bond between Indians residing in KSA. It will also create a platform to exhibit their hidden talents through various competitions and activities. The forum is also encouraging the children and their parents to take part in the competitions which will strengthen the family bond too.”

The programme was inaugurated by IFF Saudi Arabia zonal president Basheer Inapuzha. In his address he said, “Muslim and minorities should be united to stand against fascist forces and to overcome preclusion and fear.”

Nazir Tumbe, Karnataka state committee member of Indian Social Forum Dammam was invited as key speaker. He said, “BJP government which fails in fulfilling its promises is now tarnishing the image of minorities and its organizations by filing fake cases.”

Kundan Lal Gothawal, regional manager of Air India, the chief guest of the event addressed the gathering and called Islam the religion of peace and brotherhood. “We should stand together to protect Baba Saheb Ambedkar’s Constitution,” he said.

ISF Riyadh Karnataka committee secretary Mubarakulla Bangalore, IFF Riyadh region president Salim Maulavi Kasimi, DKMO secretary Irshad Mani and social worker Mustaq Kasim Yermal, and Abdul Khader Deerah were on the dais. All guests were felicitated with a special memento by IFF Riyadh chapter.

Mohammed Naveed delivered the vote of thanks. Shareef Kabaka compered the programme.

‘Bayalada Sathya’ play was the center of attraction of the event which highlighted the current situation of India. Also, there was a lucky raffle draw from Air India. Nizar won free return air ticket to India.

Exciting and fun filled games were conducted to engage the gathering like Quiz, Tug of War, Race, Volleyball. Prizes were distributed to the winners.

In volleyball, KKR were the winners and SCC, the runners-up, in tug of Bantwal Guys were the winners and Batha Guys bagged the second place. Ismail Inoli, Tajuddin Puttur, Ravoof Kalai and Naveed Kundapura presented the trophies to the winners.
