Mangaluru: Two bike-borne men selling ganja arrested

Mangaluru, Nov 7: Police personnel attached to economic and narcotics crime police station arrested two persons who were found to be transporting ganja in their motor bikes. The arrests were made from near Koragajja Katte of Shivaji Samiti, Someshwar Thokottu near here on Monday November 6.

The arrested men are Kiran (24) from Musodu Uppala Gate, and Uday Kumar (43) from Majibail. 3.275 kg ganja worth about Rs 37,700, two motor bikes, five cell phones, and cash amounting to Rs 3,500 were seized from their possession. The total value of items so seized has been put at Rs 1,07,700.

The team of policemen who conducted this raid was led by police inspector of economic and narcotics crime police station, Muhammed Shariff, and sub-inspector, Lata K S, under the guidance of assistant commissioner of police, Valentine D'Souza, direction of deputy police commissioners, Hanumantharaya and Uma Prashanth, and orders of city police commissioner, T R Suresh.
