Mangaluru: Bike hits pedestrian and skids, rider dies

Mangaluru, Nov 6: In a tragic accident, a bike rider died after his bike hit a pedestrian. The fatal incident took place late night on Sunday, November 5 at Ambika Nagar in Bajpe.

The deceased has been identified as Shashidhar (19), resident of Kolambe. He was a painter by profession. 

He was riding his bike while it hit Robert Praveen (45), a pedestrian who was crossing the road. Shashidhar was thrown out on the road from the bike in the impact. He was seriously injured and died on the way to the hospital. Pedestrian Robert Pravin fractured his leg in the accident. 

A police case has been registered at Bajpe police station.
