Udupi: Snakebite causes teenager student's death

Udupi, Oct 23: A boy, who had been bitten by a poisonous snake when walking through agricultural fields after fetching milk from a house in the neighbourhood, lost  his battle for life on Saturday October 21.

Sumanth (13), son of Manjunath Poojary from Kunjibettu Padusagri, who was a ninth standard student of Kamalabai High School Kadiyali here, was the unfortunate victim of this incident. He was bringing milk to his home from a nearby  house at around 6.45 pm on October 8 when a snake that was concealed under thick growth of grass, bit him. He had been admitted immediately into a private hospital here.

A case of unnatural death was registered in Manipal police station about this incident.
