Udupi, Oct 21: Under the joint aegis of Sauharda Samiti, town unit of Catholic Sabha, Mother of Sorrows church here as well as Lions Club Udupi Sangama, Sauharda (harmony) Deepavali was celebrated here on Friday October 20.
The programme was held at the Mother of Sorrows church here.
The programme was presided over by the Bishop of Udupi diocese, Dr Jerald Isaac Lobo.
President of a local organization, Car Street Friends, Muraleedhar Upadhya Hiriyadka, Rev Sudheer Robinson Anand of Malpe CSI Ebenezer church, additional public prosecutor of the district, Muhammed Suhaan Sastan, and chief priest of the Mother of Sorrows church, Fr Valerian Mendonca, were present.
Alphonse D'Costa compered the programme.
An exhibition of a huge tower-shaped decorative lamp and Goodudeepas was held on this occasion.
