Kiran Bedi tweets fake video of PM Modi’s 97-year-old ‘mother’ dancing, apologises

New Delhi, Oct 20 (HT): Kiran Bedi, on Friday, tweeted a video of a woman dancing to a famous Navratri song, mistaking her for PM Narendra Modi’s 97-year-old mother, Hiraben.

It was not long before Twitter called out Bedi’s faux pas, following which she issued an apology. She saluted the woman and hoped to be as active at her age.

The 50-second video shows an old woman, draped in a white saree, dancing to the popular song ‘Indhana Vinvaa Gayi Thi More Saiyan’.

“Spirit of Deepavali at tender age of 97. She’s mother of @narendramodi (Hiraben Modi -1920) celebrating Diwali at her own home????@SadhguruJV,” read the caption accompanying the video.

Bedi’s tweet has been shared 3.5K times and has been liked by 9.9K people.

The Lt governor of Puducherry also tagged spritual guru Sadhguru and PM Modi in her tweet, neither of whom have responded, yet.

The video was actually uploaded on YouTube on October 3 with the title ‘Old woman doing garba dance’.

Transforming India by Adobe Photoshop: Since 2014 😂😂😂
It was India’s 68th Republic Day on January 26 and the whole world was left mesmerized when the world’s tallest building, Burj Khalifa in UAE, lit up in tricolours – saffron, white and green – on Wednesday night. Abu Dhabi’s Crown Prince Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan also graced the event as the Chief Guest at the Republic Day parade. It is needless to say that this was one of the most beautiful sights that left our hearts beaming with pride.
However, some geniuses took their patriotism to a whole new and decided to paint the world in saffron, white and green and to say the least found many people falling prey to their ‘marvelous’ creation. While you might have come across such pictures and chose to ignore it, there was one person who got overzealous with patriotism and got majorly trolled on Twitter for sharing the same. That person was none other than, Lieutenant Governor of Puducherry, Kiran Bedi. Bedi took to Twitter and shared the images that portrayed famous monuments like Leaning Tower of Pisa, Twin Towers, Statue of Liberty and the Big Ben in tricolor with the caption “Fantastic. Jai Hind."

Lt.Governor falling prey to this Photoshop masterpiece does again by posting fake PM Modi’s 97-year-old ‘mother’ dancing.
What a irony of Modi's 'Digital India'.

From Goa to Manipur, Modi’s Governors have sabotaged democracy.
When he became prime minister in 2014, Modi changed virtually all the governors and lieutenant-governors. The score card is as follows:

    Modi’s governors
    Total Pre-Modi Modi
    States 29 03 26
    Union Territory 07 00 07
His appointments included an ex-chief justice of India, P. Sathasivam. The three pre-Modi governors who have survived are N.N. Vohra (J&K) a much favoured ex-home secretary, E.S.L. Narasimhan (Andhra Pradesh), who has had a tenure of over seven years in Andhra but who also had an additional charge for Telangana from September 2, 2014, and S.C. Jamir (Odisha). Who can say that Keshari Nath Tripathi (West Bengal) and Kalyan Singh (Rajasthan) are not staunch BJP supporters? And what about Tathagata Roy (Tripura), who uses social media for the cause of Hindutva despite occupying a constitutional position.
By imposing President’s rule in Arunachal Pradesh even before a mandatory floor test by Governor to praising the military style drill in Uttar Pradesh Modi's Governors underscored the constitutional value.
The Governors like Mr. Acharya also hit the headlines for his controversial “Hindustan is for Hindus” comment. Mr. Roy attracted adverse attention when he said publicly: “Whatever gave you the notion that I am secular? I am Hindu.
Only in Modi's 'Digital India' Union Minister's official web portal to lieutenant-governors fake dancing video everything which praises the party and Prime Minister is justified.
However, at present there is another concern: many Governors are being seen as active agents working to implement the Sangh Parivar’s Hindutva agenda. It is time to debate Governor's power.
Did anyone seen Kiran Bedi questioning Modi government about rising crime rate about women?
