Raising hands on women is a cowardly act. It is an International crime. Police should form a special investigating team and catch the culprits.

The year after the Nirbhaya incident—in which a 23-year-old paramedical student was raped by a group of men in a moving bus in Delhi on December 16, 2012—saw a 132% spike in the number of cases reported, with a sustained 32% increase thereafter, from 1,636 cases in 2013 to 2,155 in 2016.

Cases pertaining to “assault on a woman with intent to outrage her modesty” (under Section 354 of the Indian Penal Code) have increased by 473% from 727 in 2012 to 4,165 in 2016.

The first five months of 2017 saw 836 rape cases being reported to the police. The number of rapes reported each year in Delhi, as we said, rose 277% from 572 in 2011 to 2,155 in 2016, according to Delhi Police data. It should be noted that nation capital is semi autonomous state with its police force coming under Ministry of Home affairs.
As a special Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) court in Panchkula, Haryana, sentenced Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh to 20 years in jail 15 years after the case was registered, we take a look at India’s record in disposing cases of rape.
Nagaland (72.7%) and Mizoram (70.6%) had the best conviction rates in 2015–the year for which latest data were available–while Jammu and Kashmir (7%) and Gujarat (10.1%) had the worst.
According to the data collated by the NCRB, Madhya Pradesh with 4,391 cases, Maharashtra with 4,144, Rajasthan with 3,644, Uttar Pradesh with 3,025, Odisha with 2,251 and Delhi with 2,199 recorded the highest number of reported rape cases. In 95% rape victims in India known to offenders. The BJP ruled Madhya Pradesh tops the list which is in power since last one decade even though 'moral police' taken over the law and order under Modi's 'skill India'.

Shockingly Prime Minister of Modi follows twitter accounts of those who praised the Gauri Lankesh murder and abused her dirty words. His government also bowed to 'Pitaji maafi' who raped his own daughters in the ashram. Even Asaram case was made die by slowdown.
