Mangaluru: Konkani film ‘Anthu’ set for grand release at Big Cinemas on Friday

Mangaluru, Oct 16: 'Anthu', the Gowd Saraswath Brahmin (GSB) Konkani dialect film, will release here in at Big Cinemas on Friday, October 20. There will be one show at 1 pm daily for a week.

The makers of the film are trying to arrange the screening at different theaters in the city.

Karopady Akshaya Nayak has written the story and the script, edited and directed the film. He has even handled the cinematography.

The Kannada dialogues written by state awarded artiste M K Mata have been translated to Konkani by Venkatesh Baliga. Lyrics are written by Om Ganesh Kamath Uppunda and Srinivas Shenoy Puttur. The music is composed by Hariram (B Atmaram Nayak and Harish Pandav).

There are three songs in the film. A group of well-known artistes is among the singers. Chidananda Kamath Kasargod, Poornima Suresh Udupi, and national Balashree award winner Sujay Shanbhag have acted in the film. Mangesh Bhat Vitla, Dinesh Prabhu Kallotte, Maroli Sabitha Kamath, Jaya Pai, Jaya Kamath, Vitob Bandarkar, K Ashok Kumar, Malathi Kamath and more than 45 other artistes are part of the film.
