Mangaluru: CM to inaugurate development works worth Rs 252 crore on Oct 22 - Ramanath Rai

Mangaluru, Oct 19: District in-charge minister B Ramanath Rai on Thursday, October 19, said that chief minister Siddaramaiah will inaugurate various development works in Bantwal taluk on October 22.

Addressing mediapersons at circuit house, he said, “The total worth of the development works is Rs 252.50 crore. While Rs 148.29 crore worth projects will be inaugurated by the chief minister, the foundation stone for various projects worth Rs 104.21 crore will be laid on the day. Rs 10 crore worth Mini Vidhana Soudha, inspection bungalow worth Rs 3 crore, KSRTC bus stand worthy Rs 10 crore, 100-bed hospital worth Rs 6.15 crore, Mescom building worth Rs 5.16 crore, drinking water scheme in the municipal limits worth Rs 52.79 crore, tree park worth Rs 35 lac, RTO office and buildings, the works of which have been completed will be inaugurated.”

“Siddaramaiah will also lay foundation stones for Kavishishya Panje Mangesh Rao auditorium construction, Kadeshivalaya - Ajilamogaru Harmony Bridge, multi-village drinking water project and three other development works,” he added.

Additional deputy commissioner Kumar, SP Sudheer Kumar Reddy, and zilla panchayat CEO Dr M R Ravi were present.

    Projects worth in crores. Not bad. ModI also said smart city of mangalore and not sure how many crore he has promised. Soon many baba's are visitng to udupi and required smarter plans. Everything planned smarter ways for Mangalore except Mangalore roads are still with patholes and dangerous to walk forget about driving. Not bad people still survive Evan though with many accidents. Mangalore is shining with crores and planned development soon.

    We our proud of you.You have made Bantwal taluk to get recognised now.Super Bus station.Even UP,MP airport is not so beautiful.That's the difference between two state goverments.
    Hats off to state government.I wish my money was centrally utilised sameway,instead of makig ,they are thinking of breaking.

    Looks like election time. Leaders have been assigned project foundation stone laying ceremonies according to their size and newsworthiness. MLA JR Lobo was given the task for Jappinamogaru, this Bantwal project is much bigger - "naturally" the CM must bask in the limelight because he is the CM and not just an MLA.

    we have to see these foundation stones will remain as foundation stones only or work will be started ...
    If Ramanath Rai is lossed next election who will carry forward these work ... and what about the money... will remain for these projects or will be vanished ... we will see the result after next election... ..

    This is nothing but looting tax payers money in the name of development and projects. Almost all Congress MLAs are now a days busy announcing big big projects . They were sleeping last four and half years! They think public are stupid and idiots. Suddnely they started Indira canteens, 70% reservation, Tippu(tyrant) Jayanthi, big projects worth hundreds of crores ..etc....
