Mangaluru: CCB police arrest Ganja peddler, seize drug

Mangaluru, Oct 17: CCB police, on a tip off, arrested a man selling ganja to college students and people on October 16. They have also seized the drug from him.

Mohammed Izuddin (32), resident of Ammunje, Bantwal is the arrested. He is a bus conductor by profession and was reportedly selling Ganja at Pumpwell in city.

Ganja weighing 200 grams and a mobile phone has been recovered from him. He had bought the drug at Kunjathur, Kerala for sale in Mangaluru. 

A case of drug peddling was also registered earlier against him in Mangaluru north police station. The suspect and the drug were handed over to Kankanady police station for further action.

Officials of CCB unit and staff participated in the operation under guidance from DCP law and order, Hanumantaraya and DCP of the department of traffic and crime Uma Prashanth on orders from Police commissioner T R Suresh.
