Accidents like these are ever on the increase in Mangalore as well as in Udupi. A preciou life of precious man is gone.

There is now a good but strict Superintendent of Police - Mr. Sanjiv Patil in Udupi who is trying his best to control crime as well as Traffic apart from Law and Order. It would be good for people to supplement his efforts by offering their voluntary services to control traffic as is being done in Mangalore.

I join scores of people is offering my heartfelt sympathies to the members of the bereaved family.... to Leena and children Preetham and Priya.

Shocking to know that Dear Mastram is no more. Even more dreadful to read that he lost his life due to tragic accident. May God Almighty embrace the family in comfort during this difficult and painful time. I gratefully remember his role as ADVISOR of ICYM during my tenure as its president during 1984-1986. He directed most of the dramas that we staged during those years in and around Belle. Under his direction we won several prizes in the inter-parish Konkani drama competitions. My heartfelt condolences to Leena Teacher, Priya and Preetham and the entire family. May his soul rest in eternal life.

Heartfelt condolences to the family. RIP Master Raphael.

This type of accidents are became everyday's issue in our Udupi /Managalore area. Really NO fearness in drivers, those who are working in the private bus companies. They are busy on the Mobile, which causing the attention in driving. There should be strict law, which can CANCEL the driving licence and huge blood money to the family of the deceased. Our traffic law's are very weak. Now the faulty driver is arrested and the same day will be released on the bail. The verdict will take place after 10 or 20 years. What a tragedy in our Judiciary system also. We need a big changes in our current laws/policy.

I am really shocked to hear about the sad, sudden and untimely demise of Raphael Master. I still remember that we had met way back in 1975 at the Konkani Lekhak Shibir conducted by the great poet, the late Fr. Antony John D'Souza, popularly known as 'Mo'ridas' at Fatima Retreat House, Mangalore. He started writing under the pen name "Raphael Boliye'. My heartfelt condolences to his bereaved family members. Cannot expect better from the AKMS drivers and the staff. Very rude and rash driving not only in Udupi even the express buses which ply to Mangalore.
