Congress 'an equal partner' in GST decision: PM Modi

New Delhi, Oct 16 (TNN): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday called the Congress "an equal partner" in decisions about the Goods and Services Tax (GST).

"I want to tell my friends that Congress is an equal partner in GST decisions. They should not spread lies on GST," he said in an address to BJP workers at his 'Gujarat Gaurav Mahasammelan' in the state capital, Gandhinagar.

The PM assured the people that his government was "actively striving to remove any issues with the GST."

"The government is actively striving to remove any issues that GST may have. Thousands of new businessmen are registering for it," the PM said.

In his speech, PM Modi also took a dig at the Congress, calling the Gujarat elections a fight between 'development and dynasty,' adding that development politics will triumph over family rule.

"This election is between development and dynasty. Development will win, and dynasty will lose," he said.

He challenged the Congress to fight the elections on the plank of development, instead of "trying to manipulate the people."

The Opposition has been unwavering in its criticim of the new tax regime.

The Congress had a few days ago alleged that the GST had "failed" and left "the economy in misery."

"GST has failed due to structural irregularities, leaving the economy in misery & Modi & Co trying to save face," the party had tweeted.

Now that his arrogance has backfired on him, we wants to pin the blame on others. The congress did not implement the GST because at that time you and your party stalled it. Now you went ahead and unilaterally have implemented it, just like your senseless demonetization. You are to be blamed for all this mess that you have created with your pride and arrogance...............Now suffer the music and don't try to drag in others. This blame game will not work as the people are not stupid. You cannot fool all the people all the time.

This Central Government is totally failed for the welfare of the people. Demonitization and GST is completely failed and it is a huge economy downfall.

The black money holders got the chance to REGULARISE their money in the open market. So what we can expect for the remaining tenure of BJP as Central Government? The coming days are critical for the
younger generation. Now just started the slogan devide and rule our India. The unity of our beloved India is fading away. God save us.

The idea of Congress on GST and Adhar card is great. However, it is implemented by unpad govt. in a haste to grab the credit and totally failed in its way of implementation. Now, if it was a success, feku would never have mentioned Congress name. He now feels the heat of failure and like KG children blames Congress for his utter failure. Sahabji, people are wise and you can not fool them again and again. Keep you luggage ready. 2019 is approaching faster than your bullet train. Destination is Nepal.

    Yes, the economy has tanked.

Yes, millions of young people have lost all hopes of getting a job.

But why these people can't see the positives from the Yale visitors?

Not for nothing has the saying been coined - Success has many fathers, failure is often an orphan. Do I have to explain the meaning of this statement, my dear readers? Let me do it for the benefit of those who may find it difficult to understand. If the GST had succeeded, Mr. Modi would have taken all the credit. Now that he has sensed that it has not been taken kindly by the people, he is shifting the blame on the Congress.

Don't underestimate the wisdom of Manmohan Singh and Chidambaram. They talk less as they are full of wisdom and prudence. Lot of talking won't work in India. That's fine like table talk at tea. Country can't be run that way. So, you want Congress to share the blame for floating the idea of GST as things have begun to back fire. Now only option is promising RamMandir and some more cow shelters. Other option are not in your favour.

Victory has a hundred fathers and defeat is an orphan.....That applies perfectly for Modi.
Abdul Kalam's words.....A Leader Should Know How to Manage Failure....
Kalam.....shared a very interesting incident that happened in 1979 during the SLV project (first Indian Satellite Launch Vehicle) by ISRO in 1979 Dr.A.P.J.Abdul Kalam was the Project Director of SLV mission and Prof.Satish Dhawan was the Chairman of ISRO at that time.
After ten years of hard struggle, they were ready to launch their first experimental rocket 'Rohini Technology Payload' on August 10,1979.
Satellte was launched, Instead of the satellite going into orbit, the whole rocket system plunged into the Bay of Bengal. It was a big failure.
The whole world media was waiting for the press meet curious to know what had happened. Dr.Kalam was very frightened to face the media and answer their criticism of wasting millions of people's money.
Prof.Satish Dhawan, the chairman of ISRO took Dr.Kalam to the press meet and made him sit aside and he took the blame for the team's failure and said "We failed! But I have a very good trust in my team that next time we will be succeeding for sure" and made everyone to believe in the team.
Next year, 18 July 1980, the same team led by Dr.Kalam successfully launched Rohini RS-1 into the orbit! The whole country was proud and cheering for the success of the launch.
Prof.Satish Dhawan congratulated Dr.Kalam and the team and asked Dr.Kalam to conduct the press conference that day!
    That is called Leadership.
GST is Manmohan Singh's baby, Manmohan Singh wanted the single GST rate to be much lower, at 18%. Modi's bill implemented at much higher GST rate of about 25% to 27% to start with. That was the actual reason for the failure.
Don't be a politician be a leader. Feku....

I pity the plight of Modi and BJP Bhakts. Till the other day they were singing the heroics of PM Modi who they claimed took the country to another level of development with demonetization and GST.

Demonetization is a total flop, so nobody will even dare to claim credit for that publicly. GST as everyone knows again implemented with haste and without proper application of mind. PM Modi wants to share the blame for the crisis. Unfortunately, it will lead to more of credibility crisis for PM Modi, than anyone he is trying to implicate.

BJP Bhakts if still say GST was good, they are now forced to say Cong done hard work. If they say BAD, they have to admit Modiji has failed. Hope that Bhakts take vanavas instead of chanting more of BJP.

All that does not work out as expected, is partnered by Congress. Swachch Bharat (though the toilets built by villagers are left unused) is MY scheme. Jan Dhan, PM Awas Yojna, Suraksha Bima Yojna or Smart City Yojna will remain 'MY' schemes for a while and will slowly slip into partnership with the opposition.
