Mangaluru: Thieves burgle gold ornaments from policeman's residential quarters

Mangaluru, Oct 13: Thieves who entered the residential quarters located at Police Lane here stole gold ornaments belonging to a policeman. The incident came to light on Thursday October 12.

The quarters where this theft took place is occupied by Sudheer Kumar. Sudheer had left to attend a private programme on October 10. His mother, who was alone at home, had been to a hospital in the city on the evening of October 11 to see her ailing daughter admitted there, it is gathered.

When both of them returned home on Thursday, they found that the lock of the front door had been broken open, clothes and other things kept in a cupboard had been strewn around, and gold ornaments kept inside the safe locker had been stolen.

It is estimated that stolen gold ornaments were worth Rs 1.4 lac. A case about the theft has been registered in Pandeshwar police station.

    Burgling from a police house must be a exprt thief .He must have known noone is at home.dont go far .May be a known one from some nearby houses? Even for police too is the device dont keep the valueables at home but in Bank.

    Because of dwindling economy, GST, demonetization, non-creation of jobs, corruption etc etc more and more people are becoming jobless..as a result theft,communal violence,suicides, depression, no peace of mind etc are taking a toll on people's lives. As Charles Darwin said we have reached an era where it is only the survival of the fittest now.
