15th anniversary of Sharjah Karnataka Sangha, Rajyotsava & Mayura Award on Nov 17

Sharjah, Oct 12: Karnataka Sangha Sharjah is all set to celebrate their 15th anniversary along with ‘Karnataka Rajyotsava Day’ celebrations and ‘Mayura Award’ presentation on 17 November at 4 pm in Sharjah Indian Association premises.

‘Mayura Natya Manjari’ UAE Level Group Dance Competition

As a part of the celebrations, group dance competition within groups from various Karnataka based associations is being arranged. The winner will be bestowed with ‘Mayura Natya Manjari’ Award. There should be at least a minimum of 8 members and maximum of 10 members consisting of men, women and children in order to get qualified for this competition. The dance presentation can be chosen from any classical, semi classical, folk, western, and cinematic forms and should be in Kannada, Tulu, Konkani, Kodava or Beary languages only.

‘Mayura Award’ presentation

Like every year, this year too Karnataka Sangha Sharjah will identify and present ‘Mayura Award’ to a proud Kannadiga who has served the community as a whole in UAE. The Award will be presented during the celebrations in the presence of various guests invited to grace the occasion.

Cultural programme

There will be small ‘Yakshagana Ballet’, various comedy presentations, singing and other cultural activities scheduled to be part of the celebrations.

President Sughandraj Bekal and committee members of Karnataka Sangha Sharjah invite Kannadigas from all over UAE to come in large numbers along with their family and friends and be part of the Karnataka Rajyotsava Festival.
