Mangaluru: BJP national president Amit Shah arrives in city, proceeds to Kerala

Mangaluru, Oct 3: BJP national president Amit Shah arrived in the city in the early hours of Tuesday October 3.

Shah was scheduled to land at Mangaluru International Airport at 6 pm on Monday October 2, but the flight was delayed by more than seven hours. He arrived at the airport at around 1.15 am by a special flight.

Sources said that due to Shah's committments in Gujarat where he was busy with 'Gujarat Gaurav Yatra', he started to Mangaluru later than expected.

BJP leaders from Dakshina Kannada and Kasargod accorded a warm welcome to Shah at the airport. Among those present were MP Nalin Kumar Kateel, former minister Krishna J Palemar, BJP district president Sanjeeva Matandoor, former minister Nagaraj Shetty, S Angara, Mallika Prasad, and Kerala BJP leaders Muralidharan, Krishnadas, Surendran and others.

A large number of party workers were present to welcome their national leader. Tight security was deployed.

Shah proceeded to Kerala where he will stay the night at Bekal Fort resort. On Tuesday, he will offer special puja at Taliparamba Shree Rajarajeswara Temple and take part in a padayatra at Payannur. He will return to Mangaluru the same evening.

He will take part in a meeting of state BJP leaders and office-bearers at Ocean Pearl Hotel at 10 am on October 4. Later in the evening, he will participate in a meeting of BJP workers from the district at TMA Convention Centre. A meeting of elected representatives and BJP activists has also been planned.

All development seems to be focused on Gujrat which is the least Tax paying state & Virtually NO representation in Armed forces and Civil Services. Maximum number of shell companies & Hawala transactions in India. Cheat the system most in tax paying.
Bullet train would have worked better if they connect 2 major cities like Mumbai-Delhi or Bengaluru with 50 flights a day instead they selected Ahemedabad - Mumbai which currently flies only 10 Flights..

He is the senior most leader of the party that once i supported.
However he is also one of the most corrupt and communal one. Divides communities on caste and creates discord , we don't need Pakistanis/Chinese in india.

I am sad to see fate my my BJP going down. Until we have someone with Vajpaye ji's character and charisma, its very hard to win next elections.

These people are not ashamed to use Hindutva/sanathan dharma to gain political mileage and vote bank. People from south are well educated and agenda of this taklu will not gain traction.
I support anyone who is for development, growth, harmony in society.

BJP has become GJP ( Gujarat Janatha Party) after the previous leaders are forcefully retired. They are sending all the corrupt leaders of South India to hospital irrespective of the party they belong
to and very few of them are able to come back standing straight. In one ways it's good to fight against corruption, but in other terms we, the people of South India are losing because there is less development because the leaders are busy with court cases. So, people in the future elections need to select & elect candidates without any corruption charges. Also our leaders have communication problems and this coupled with corruption charges makes the things worst. If & when they go for meeting in New Delhi, they come empty handed due to this with their tails down. Other states have their own lobbies in New Delhi to handle both the main parties which is the reason why development in other states is more compared to Karnataka even though the revenue generated from Karnakata is more compared to other states. Our railways & airport are the perfect examples.

Look properly and you will understand. Today there’s more communal problem in Gods’ own country – Kerala, the most literate state in the country. Maximum numbers from there have joined ISIS, brainwashing and political killings are in full swing. If this trend continues with the blessings of CPM, definitely RSS and BJP will gain foothold in Kerala followed by VHP, BD, etc. One cannot simply ignore the sentiments of the majority community even though their presence is not felt.
